Practise a Language With AI in 5 Days: Role-Play, Writing Feedback, Review

Follow a fictional learner, Lin, preparing for a three-day work trip: set scenario goals and a practice-partner brief, role-play with AI, get writing feedback by error type, check phrase cards against a dictionary, and finish with a full simulation and self-assessment. This English edition practises Spanish; the Chinese edition practises English with the same structure.

Role-Play Practice: One Scenario at a Time, Errors at the End

Have AI play a hotel receptionist while Lin sorts out a booking with the wrong dates; collect at most three corrections at the end of each exchange, and tell real errors from regional variants.

Writing Feedback: Have AI Label Errors by Type Instead of Rewriting

Lin writes a short email to the host; AI labels errors by five categories without rewriting, Lin makes the corrections, and an over-correction that treats style as an error is caught.

Phrase Cards and Dictionary Checks: Keep the Expressions You Will Actually Use

Pick 12 new expressions from the role-play and email, make two-way cards, check AI's meanings and examples against an authoritative dictionary, and schedule reviews at roughly one, three, and seven days.

Full Scenario Simulation and Self-Assessment: Compare With the Baseline, Plan the Next Round

Chain the six scenarios into one trip simulation, compare with the Day 1 baseline using the same four-part rubric, understand AI's limits on pronunciation and regional variation, and plan practice before departure.
